Eventide Homes for Senior Citizens provide an opportunity for men and women who are above the age 60 to live within Mandiram campus. Individuals or couples can have private and peaceful life here while enjoying the conveniences provided by Mandiram Society. This service is a paid one, but affordable.
Our Process !
01.
— Facilities
There are 3 types of accommodation
- Nine 2 bed accommodations of 800 sq ft with bedroom, kitchen, drawing room, bathroom and sitout.
- Eight 1 bed accomodation of 600 sq ft with a bedroom, kitchen, bathroom and sitout.
- Ten 1 bed accommodation of 400 ft with a bedroom, kitchenette, bathroom and sitout.
Anyone above 60 years of age can apply as an individual or a couple to stay in a facility of his choice – JMM or Sapthathi Mandiram
02.
— How to Join
Based on a written request, applicants will be contacted as and when a vacancy arises in JMM or Sapthathy Mandiram.
Applicant has to pay a caution deposit, which varies with the type of accommodation and facility.
Further, they can stay at Mandirams as long as they wish, paying a monthly maintenance amount. If required, food will be supplied in their units on payment.
Eventide Homes are homes away from home. One will have nearly the same freedom as he has at his home plus the support of Mandirams.
03.
— Termination
Entire process is so designed that one could stay as long as he / she wishes. Mandirams Society initiatives are always ‘not for profit’. Financial process of Eventide homes are also kept that way.
Mandiram Society shall deduct 10% from the caution deposit every year. If a person moves out or passes away before completing 10 years at the eventide home, the residual caution deposit shall be refunded.
Caution deposit will become zero in the 10th year. However, members can continue to live without replenishing the deposit.

A multi speciality hospital run my Mandirams Society is very near; doctors and nurses are on call; palliative and geriatric care are also available.

Abundance of natural beauty and serene atmosphere adds to the charm of our homes. The green canopy and environment-friendly buildings within the campus are the hallmarks of our institutions.
Spiritiual Life
Prayer, Study, Service are intertwined here. Bible classes are conducted in Sapthathy Mandiram and Juhanon Memorial Mandiram every week. Christmas, Easter and weekly worship with Holy Qurbana are conducted in the premises. Chaplains and volunteers visit the residents regularly

Mandirams are just 5 kms away from Kottayam, well connected by road and rail. Nearest railway station is 5.5 kms away and airport 92 kms away from Mandirams.
Avenues – Social Work
Residents of Eventide homes may involve in activities of Mandirams in one way or another. Their rich and long experience can be utilised in various areas like Palliative Care, Balika Mandiram, Child Sponsorship Project etc..
