The Mundakapadam Mandirams Society is a registered Charitable Society that runs charitable & not for profit institutions and community service projects. Mundakapadam Agathi Mandiram was founded in 1933 as a destitute home by Shri. P. C. George and his sister Leyamma. Since then, many selfless volunteers and philanthropists worked very hard so that this society has grown into multiple community service centres and served tens of thousands of people.

One may have questions about our projects and institutions. We have tried to answer all frequently asked questions.

Mandirams Society is a registered charitable Society comprising of members from Mandiram Fellowship, Advisory Committee and Governing Board. The members of these groups are from  the Malankara Mar Thoma Church, the Malankara Orthodox Church and the Diocese of Madhya Kerala in the Church of South India.  The members of the Society are selected as per the constitution of the Society.

Society runs charitable institutions and community service projects.

Mandiram Society is not a property of any Church or Denomination.

Mandirams Society is a registered charitable Society.  It is a joint venture of its members from the Malankara Mar Thoma Church, the Malankara Orthodox Church and the diocese of Madhya Kerala in the Church of South India.

If the strength of the group that plans to visit Mandirams is greater than 10, we would request you to take a prior appointment from the Secretary of Mandiram Society, a few days before the planned visit.

If the strength is less than 10, we would prefer the individuals to visit in any day from Monday to Saturday in the afternoon between 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Prior appointment is not necessary.

There are 110 inmates in Agathi Mandiram of which xx are male and xx are female. We have facilities to accommodate xx men and xx women. Geriatric and Palliative care wards are attached to men’s and women’s quarters.

Society takes care of inmates’ need for food, shelter, clothing and medicine. Agathi Mandiram has Library, Exercise Room and Chapel.

Inmates must follow the rules and regulations set by the Society.

Mandiram Mess, Tripthi Bhavan serves Non-Vegetarian and Vegetarian food based on a fixed menu. The food is nutritious and complete.

Inmates, Visitors, Staff and Office Bearers of Mandirams use the same mess.

The expenses of Mandirams are met by donations and endowments. The goodwill of Mandirams is the key for generous contributions.

Those who would like to volunteer to take care of the aged and sick or teach kids are more than welcome to Mandirams.

A person more than 60 years certified as a destitute by his or her panchayat member is eligible for admission in Agathi Mandiram. However, final admission is provided only after the screening done by the staff or volunteers of Society.

Inmates must follow the rules and regulations set by the Society.
