FREE LEGAL COUNSELLING FOR WOMEN FROM ECONOMICALLY BACKWARD FAMILIES

Counselling Centre provides general counselling to those who have personal and family problems. There are 5 trained counsellors who render services at the centre. Mandirams Society conducts talks and symposiums on general counselling in association with Mandiram Hospital and Temperance Movement. Free legal counselling is available from a lawyer for women from economically backward families.

Counselling Centres and qualified counsellors are ‘a need of the hour ‘.

What We Do !

01.

— General Counselling

Families can be a source of support, encouragement and love but sometimes relationships within families are put under strain and family members feel isolated or overlooked.

General counselling can help when husband and wife are not getting on, or when parents and children are going through a divorce or separation.

02.

— Legal Counselling

Legal counselling is carried out by a lawyer, Adv. Sindhu Gopalakrishnan.

General goal of this activity is to provide women from socially and economically backward communities with legal assistance free of cost. This will help them to know their legal rights and to avoid negative setbacks leading to the social marginalisation.

We Care For !

A Community Service

P.C. George Sir was a counsellor to many in our community.  This tradition continued all through  these years. Mandirams provide family and legal counselling assistance to all who need.

No Strings Attached

Family Counselling is available for all, irrespective of whether you are rich or poor.

Legal counsel is free for women from economically and backward communities.

Our Gratitude

Thanks to the volunteers who help Mandirams Society to provide solace to people in our community.

Also, many thanks to those who are using the counselling centre.

Counselling at Mandirams

Ms. Sherly Rajan
Co-ordinator, Counselling Centre

In 1994, Kerala State Social Welfare Board started a counselling centre in Mandirams Society campus, but it stopped functioning in 2010. As our community had counselling needs, Mandirams decided to continue counselling services and established a new family counselling centre as its project. Many families in and around Mandirams are getting lot of benefits from counselling centre.

Of late, we have included counselling for school children and teenagers, pre-marital counselling, Behaviour addiction counselling and other mental disorder counselling. This centre works closely with TMA counselling centre at Amalagiri Kottayam so that we could sent clients who need further assistance to TMA Counselling Centre.   Read More >>
