Mr. Kuruvilla George, who was successfully serving as the director of Child Sponsorship Programme (CSP) for over 5 years opted to discontinue his active service. A recent setback in his health conditions forced him to take such an unfortunate decision. Though not happy, the Governing Board was compelled to accept his request. He is a Fellowship member and has been associating with the CSP and other activities of Mandiram for many years. The Mundakapadam Mandirams Society and the Board keeps on record the remarkable leadership and dedication of Mr. Kuruvilla George, in successfully running the CSP activities. His active role in setting up different Libraries in Mandirams and the involvements in other activities of Mundakapadam Mandirams are also worth mentioning. We pray that our God keep him safe and contented over the days to come.
The Governing Board is happy to inform that, Prof. George Jacob (Gigi), Kochukaleeckal, Muttambalam, Kottayam, took charge as the new Director of Child Sponsorship Project, from 01 Feb 2022. He has retired as Associate Professor of Chemistry, from the CMS College Kottayam with 34 years of teaching experience and over 20 years in training for development of human resources at different levels. He has served as the Vice-Principal and Dean of Students Affairs of the college. He established a Centre for Career Guidance and Placements in the CMS College and was the co-ordinator of the centre for many years. He was the co-ordinator for Young Adult Volunteer programme in the college (YAV programme of the Presbyterian Church of the USA). He is a certified facilitator of CLHRD, Mangaluru, and was part of FEEL training programmes for college students and teachers in the states of Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Maharastra and Uttar Pradesh. The Board feels that his varied experience will benefit our Child Sponsorship Project. We welcome Prof. George Jacob to the Mandiram family and wish his all success.
