Prof. Dr. C. J. Roy, Secretary, Mundakapadam Mandirams Fellowship and Governing Board member passed away on 17 January 2022. Mundakapadam Mandirams Society and staff extend our deep condolences to bereaved family.
Dr. C J Roy was a writer, specialist in linguistics, Head of Malayalam Department of Madurai Kamaraj University, and ex- managing committee member of Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church. He was born on 13 July 1935 in Chathambadom family, Puthuppally. He did his MA and PhD in Malayalam from Kerala University. His books are published in Malayalam and English. He translated Kerala Panineeyam written by A R Rajaraja Varma from Malayalam to English. He worked in many academic and cultural societies in various capacities.
We remember all the great work Prof. Roy has done for our Society and Mundakapadam Mandirams with immense gratitude and respect.
