WE DELIVER FOOD TO THOSE WHO ARE POOR AND BEDRIDDEN
Project Food at Door Step is started by Mandirams Society to provide food to poor folks who are bedridden due to age or illness. As they cannot move out of their home, food is delivered at their doorstep. Mandirams Society also provides food to the poor patients admitted in the general ward of Mandiram Hospital and Govt. Hospital, Thottakad. During the 2018 floods in Kerala, Mandirams Society and volunteers supplied food to many relief camps.

What We Do !

— Identify Beneficiaries
Volunteers of Palliative Healthcare of Mundakapadam Mandirams Society regularly visit the aged and bedridden. They often come across poor and needy who are starving. They act as the herons for Food @ DoorStep project by bringing the news of bedridden folks in the neighbourhood and those admitted in Mandiram Hospital.

— Provide Food
Food gets prepared and packed in Thripthi Bhavan, Agathi Mandiram’s Mess. Volunteers from partnering NGOs – INAMS and Puthuppally Charitable Trust, deliver the food at the door steps of beneficiaries, twice daily. Mandiram Society directly sends food to the poor and needy patients admitted in the general ward of Mandiram Hospital .

One cannot think well, love well or sleep well, if the person has not dined well. None shall go hungry, doesn’t matter whether he is old or sick.
Aged are our Concern
Our founders started Agathi Mandiram to provide food, medicine, shelter and care to the old men and women. We carry forward the lamps they lit.

Mandirams Society is in a relationship with International Association of Mission Studies and Services (INAMS) through Food @ Door Step Programme. Mandiram Society gives food and INAMS delivers food at the door step of the needy bedridden folks. INAMS is a mission organisation affiliated to Mission Board of Orthodox Church.

Maria is an 80-year-old lady from Manganam. She has 2 children. They are not able to look after their mother. She is staying alone in one portion of her son’s house. INAMS supply breakfast, lunch and dinner to Maria.
Joychettan, Kalathilpady is staying alone in a house donated by panchayat. His wife and kids have deserted him long back. He is a diabetes patient. Read More >>
