Prof. Rev. K C Mathew passed away on 23-07-2021. K C Mathew Achen served as the secretary of Mundakapadam Mandiram Society for 25 years. Achen’s sad demise is a big loss to Mandirams and our community.
Mandiram family extends heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. May his family find the strength to bear this inexpressible grief. Our hearts go out to them.
KC Mathew achen’s funeral was on Monday, 26 July, 2021 and was conducted according to covid protocols.
Mortal remains was kept in Mandiram Community Hall from 7.00 pm to 8.00 am for public to pay their last respects. Thereafter, Rt. Rev. Joseph Mar Bernabas Suffragan Metropolitan of Mar Thoma Church lead the prayer service.
Funeral service at achen’s residence (near Poomattom Junction, Rubber Board, Kottayam) began at 2:00 pm. and Service was lead by Rt. Rev. Thomas Samuel, Bishop, CSI Church.
Funeral service at St. Andrews Church, Machukadu, Puthuppally, Kottayam began at 3:00 pm. Rt. Rev. Sabu Koshy Cherian, Bishop, CSI Church lead the service.
K C Mathew achen was a man of affable and gentle manners. He was an institution builder. He stood firm when the occasions demanded and redefined Mandirams Society to face the challenges of the 21 st century. He carefully nurtured many other institutions including Bishop Moore College and U C College in different capacities such as principal, manager and syndicate member of Kerala University.
A fruitful life came to an end. Mundakapadam Mandirams Society thank lord almighty for achen’s life and his contributions to Mandirams and the society.
