Mandirams Society is in a relationship with International Association of Mission Studies and Services (INAMS) through Food @ Door Step Programme. Mandiram Society provides food and INAMS delivers food at the doorstep of the needy bedridden folks. INAMS is a mission organisation affiliated to Mission Board of Orthodox Church.
Few beneficiaries of Food @ Door Step Programme are supported by INAMS.
Maria is an 80-year-old lady from Manganam. She has 2 children. They are not able to look after their mother. She is staying alone in one portion of her son’s house. INAMS supply breakfast, lunch and dinner to Maria.
Joychettan, Kalathilpady is staying alone in a house donated by panchayat. His wife and kids had deserted him long back. He is a diabetes patient. One of his foot was amputated due to diabetes. But he manages to walk with the support of a stick. He is unable to cook his food. So, INAMS is arranging lunch and dinner for him.
An old Lady from a colony in Manganam was identified by Mandiram Palliative care team for Food @ Door Step Programme. She is a diabetic patient. She has been advised to amputate her leg. She has a son, but he is lame. In 2018, INAMS built a house for this person. We supply lunch and supper to the mother and son daily.
We used to supply 2 meals a day to a young man. He is a HIV victim, infected from his mother during pregnancy. He takes treatment from Ushas, HIV Centre, Medical College, Kottayam. He is healthy due to the treatment. INAMs has adopted him and supported him in his education. He is now a M.Com graduate and got a job in Coimbatore. So, we have stopped providing food to him.
Mr. Radhakrishnan of Puthuppally Charitable Society also delivers food provided by Mandirams Society to few other people.
